WCF and Yale Club of France Private Marais Walking Tour
Please join the WCF and the Yale Club for a private walking tour of the Marais on Sunday, September 11 at 14h.
We will meet at the Hotel de Ville metro at the Rue Lobau exit which is on rue de Rivoli at the east side of the building.
We will start with the Church of St. Gervais and a few of the medieval houses in the neighborhood. Then we will visit the outside of the Shoah Memorial before going to the 15th-century mansion- the Hotel de Sens. We will see the 12th-century Phillip Augustus city wall and browse the antique boutiques of the Village St. Paul. We will wander through the Hotel de Sully, one of the best examples of the 17th-century mansions in the neighborhood, to the elegant Place des Vosges. We will enjoy the newly opened gardens off of the rue des Rosiers, and after seeing the heart of the Jewish Marais, we will wind up in the gardens of the National Archives.
